iThEC (International Thorium Energy Committee), in collaboration with FEDRE (Fondation pour l’Economie et le Développement durable des Régions d’Europe), invites you to a special event dedicated to Thorium Energy on September 17, 2025.

iThEC was founded in 2012 under the auspices of its honorary president, Nobel Prize-Laureate physicist Carlo Rubbia, to promote the use of thorium as a means to produce electricity and also to drastically reduce existing and future nuclear wastes.

Professor Brit Salbu is a globally recognised expert in nuclear chemistry, with an outstanding record in environmental radioactivity and risk assessment:

✔️ Former Director of CERAD (Centre of Excellence for Environmental Radioactivity)
✔️ Honorary Professor, National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine
✔️ Member, Norwegian Academy of Science and Letters & Royal Society of Chemistry
✔️ Recipient, Chernobyl 30-year Memorial Medal (Ukrainian Survivor Organisation)

Her pioneering research covers nuclear/radiochemistry, analytical/environmental chemistry, radioecology, and impact/risk assessments, with leadership in over 50 field expeditions and membership/chair roles in major international committees (NATO, IAEA).
