Description

Radiotherapy (RT) using FLASH (ultra-high dose rate) will soon become commercially available, probably using proton beams. However, a large body of radiobiological evidence has been obtained using pulsed electron MeV beams. This framework is even more challenging for absolute dosimetry.

At CHUV, we have been working to provide a safe framework for FLASH-RT using our long experience in RT metrology and applying it to pulsed electron beams. I will report in my presentation what we encountered on our path and how we progressed. I will also state what is the current situation and how we work routinely.
