- How to get to the city of Sofia and what to see there (optional)
A taxi may cost about 10 – 12 Leva (5 – 6 Euro) and it takes 15 – 20 minutes (there is less traffic on Sunday). In the arrival hall there are taxi companies’ counters where you can order a taxi and the taxi driver will come to accompany you to the car. Alternatively, you can take a taxi at the designated taxi stands in front of the western exits at Terminal 1 and 2. The company providing licensed taxi services at the airport is “ OK Supertrans “ and all cars have the number 9732121.
Warning: Do not accept and use the services offered by occasional taxi drivers in the arrival hall or outside the airport. They might charge you several times the normal price!
Coming back to the airport from the city you can take either the Bus 84 or a taxi (preferable with car numbers 9732121, 91280 or 91263).
Unfortunately, at the Airport there is no Luggage storage area. Therefore, you may take your luggage with you and get to the following address:
Plostad “Narodno Sabranie” No 9 (next to the Radisson Hotel)
There is the office of our partnering Travel Agency “ Contrax” and from 14.30 to 18.00 h a representative of the Agency will be there to store your luggage.
When you get downtown it is worth visiting “Alexander Nevski” Cathedral (the biggest Orthodox church). Next to the Cathedral is the handcrafts and paintings market, then the Russian church and the House of Parliament (in front of it is “Radisson” Hotel for a coffee). Such walk will take about 1 hour.
- Money exchange
At the airport in Sofia there are ATM and Currency Exchange counters.
There is an ATM in Koprivshtiza as well but I am not sure if it will be operating all the time. Therefore, I would recommend to change in Sofia 50 Euro (100 Leva) for additional drinks, coffees and souvenirs in Koprivshtiza (the restaurant at the hotel does not accept credit cards).

- Clothes and shoes
The town of Koprivshtiza is situated at a height of more than 1000 m, so that it might be cool in the evenings. Some rain could also occur, so a sweatshirt and an umbrella or anorak is recommended. Also walking shoes and for the ladies flat shoes (no heels please!) are suitable.
