CMS --- - starting to use 54 - series for the integration builds. LHCb --- - managed to build several LHCb projects on mac osx 10.4 - issue of cross compilation - we were discussing on how to support cross compilation for LCG/AA software and dependent CMT projects. The solution will be to provide an interface package to the compiler itself. This interface package shall detect if the host and target platform are different. In this case the proper actions shall be taken to allow the cross compilation. This will require us also to provide several compiler versions for the different platforms and also to ship them if necessary. Persistency --- - slc and osx tests on cool231 are ok - win tests on cool231 still running (root/coral only available today) - release notes for cool231 in preparation (please no readonly afs yet) - working on 240 with API extensions (either next week, or in april) - integrated ACE in cool using Qt4.3.0 with private requirements (osx requirements for qt430 not yet prepared, skipping this platform) ROOT --- - 5.18.00a has been built - problem with memory for building Roofit on windows, it seems this was a temporary glitch on the build machine (cerntsdev) AoB === SPI website relaunch, we would like to collect use cases from the primary users. Therefore we would like to ask to send us a couple of use cases for using SPI pages, what are the most wanted infos. What is currently missing? What functionality should be provided, etc. nightly builds configuration file request pages versions/configurations/delta between configs documentation for projects, possibility to cross link from experiments for external packages link to homepage, - LHCb requests for new external packages which are part of open scientist, Hubert will send the list of packages. CGAL - we will cut the dependency ktjet - LHCb is thinking about dropping the dependency
