|Cost||The total fee of the School is € 1200 per participant. It covers all costs except travel.

|Date and Place||The 37th CERN School of Computing will be held at the University of Minho, Braga from Monday 25th of August to Friday 5th September 2014 (1)
(1) Students will have to arrive on the Sunday 24th August and leave on the Saturday 6th of September 2014.

|Participation||The School is open to postgraduate students and research workers with a few years' experience in elementary particle physics, in computing or in related fields. The number of participants will be limited to 60 Applicants. They may come from CERN Member States as well as from other countries.
Personal contacts and informal discussions among the participants during leisure time are an important aspect of the School. For this reason, participants are asked to note that they should not be accompanied by family members or friends.
|Site details||The school (tuition) will take place on the campus of the Minho University.

|Rooms||Participants will be lodged in comfortable double rooms (they will share the double room with a schoolmate)
Rooms are provided with towel, hair dryer and iron.
WIFI is available in the room and in the lobby area
Beware that electricity outlet and receptacle use the F standard

Facilities include outdoor and indoor swimming pool, fitness and shops.
|Sport||During the school, you will have the opportunity to practice different sports such as Tennis, Badminton, Climbing, Canoeing, Swimming, Football but also indoor sport activities
Participants should reach the Hotel Melia Braga for on-site registration during the afternoon or early evening of Sunday, 24th of August 2014.

The total fees of the School is € 1200 per participant. The total fee of the school covers:
Participants should note that lunch on the day of arrival (Sunday 24th of August 2014) is not provided, but the dinner is.
|Fee: What it does NOT cover||
The fee does not include travel expenses from the participants' working place to the Braga Melia Hotel and back.
|Method of payment||
The selected participants should pay the total fees prior to the school upon receipt of the letter of acceptance into the following account (the selection decision will ne notified to applicants by the end of June 2014)
For participants external to CERN and/or with no CERN internal transfer capabilities:
|Subsidy and assiduity||
The actual expenses per student exceed the total fees requested to participants. The difference between the actual cost and the total fee is borne by the school organization.

|Selection of participants||
The number of participants is limited to 60.
|Cancellation||The CERN School of Computing Advisory Committee reserves the right to refuse reimbursement of part or all of the fee in the case of late cancellation. However, each case of cancellation would be considered individually.|
|Replacement||In all cases of withdrawal or cancellation, whether last-minute or otherwise, the choice of a replacement, if any, will lie entirely with the Advisory Committee and not with the laboratory or institute where the withdrawing participant works.|
|Liability and Insurance||Participation in the CERN School of Computing and in all activities organized in the framework there of (whether by CERN or by third parties) is at the participant's own risk and neither CERN nor the third parties concerned accept any liability with regard thereto. Equipment and materials made available to participants during the CERN School of Computing are made available on an "as-is-basis" without any warranties express or implied. Their use shall be under the sole responsibility and at the sole risk of the participants.
Participants shall be solely responsible and liable regarding their property and CERN shall have no liability in case of loss, theft or damage thereof.
Participants shall ensure that, there shall at all times during the latter's participation in the CERN School of Computing be insurance cover against illnesses and accidents valid in the place of venue, and against disability and death resulting from illnesses and accidents of the participants. The participant shall hold CERN free and harmless from, and indemnify it for any cost or expense resulting from the situation where any part of the insurance cover detailed above is not in place.
|Language||The working language of the School will be English. There will be no simultaneous translation.
Participants should therefore have sufficient understanding of English to enable them to benefit from the School.
