Hotel Services

Hotel Booking

For PicoSEC course we have negotiated with Hotel Domus Mariae Benessere a convenient meeting rate of 315 € including for each participant resident in the structure the following services:

• hotel accommodation in a double room for single use, located at the first or second floor (no elevator available), with arrival the 5th of October and departure the 8th of October 2013 (3 nights);
• free buffet breakfast and buffet lunches at Hotel Domus Mariae Benessere (6th and 7th October);
• wi-fi.

Additional options:

• the meeting package rate for participants in double or twin room is 260 €;
• "partner package" (not attending the course) in double or twin room (3 nights with breakfast) is 150 €;
• third bed: 105 €;
• pre/post meeting night (breakfast included):
  • 70 € single room;
  • 120 € double or twin room;
  • 155 € triple room.

All the 32 rooms of the hotel have been pre-booked. As the training is organized inside the hotel, all the participants are kindly requested to stay at this hotel.

How to get to Domus Mariae Benessere Hotel

The closest airport to the city of Siracusa is the international airport of Catania Fontanarossa, located about 60 km from the city. The airport
is connected to Siracusa by bus and by taxi (about 1 hour needed).

• by shuttle: shuttle service available on request (contact the hotel direction when booking your room or before your arrival);
• by bus: INTERBUS bus at the stop in front of the international arrivals. Tickets can be purchased on the bus or at the booth in front of the bus stop. Timetable available here.
  The main bus terminal in Siracusa is located in Via Rubino, at the corner of the railway station, a fifteen minute walk from Ortigia.
• by taxi: call TAXI Giurdanella  (+39 3392218690) or ask to the hotel to arrange the taxi service for you. 
  Note: do not take other taxis at the exit of international arrivals (they are very expensive!)

Meeting Room

Room dedicated to small meetings, conferences, conventions and workshops.
Capacity:

• Up to 12 people around the large work table;
• Up to 35 seats in rows, with a table for speakers.
