EGEE’08 – Posters and Demonstrations – Call for Abstracts
The EGEE'08 Conference, held on 22-26 September 2008, in Istanbul, Turkey, is an important opportunity for both business and academic sectors to network with the EGEE communities, collaborating projects, developers, and decision makers to develop and consolidate plans for a reliable, seamless infrastructure on a global scale.
Posters and demonstrations will be on display throughout the Conference, with a dedicated session one afternoon. This will give authors the opportunity to present their work to a wide audience. Prizes will be awarded for the best poster and the best demonstration, voted for and judged respectively by the attendees and the External Advisory Committee.
For this exciting poster and demonstration session, the programme committee is soliciting contributions focussing both on user experience with, and plans for using the EGEE infrastructure as well as innovative solutions for Grid management and pioneering Grid services. Important topics will be data access, interactive usage, workload and workflows, Grid monitoring, automated service management, etc. although abstracts on any aspect of grid technology will be considered.
We invite you to prepare an abstract following the proposed template (the text you will enter following the template will be combined automatically into a single abstract). Abstracts must be entered via the EGEE'08 indico pages, accessed via the EGEE'08 website www.eu-egee.org/egee08/home.html. Submissions via any other mechanism (eg email) will not be considered. Please indicate on the form whether you prefer a poster or demo. As for previous EGEE conferences and EGEE User Forums, the abstracts will disseminated to the wider grid community, so we invite you to prepare the abstracts with care.
The program committee will review and select submissions for demo and poster sessions and notify authors about acceptance by 30 June 2008.
The poster and demonstration session will complement the oral programme, which features only invited presentations; there will be no call for contributions to that session.
