Paper submission

Proceedings of HSTD10

The contributions to HSTD10 will be published as a special issue of Nuclear Instrumentations and Methods in Physics Research, Section A (NIMA).

The length of a paper is
30 min. talk (25+5 mins Q/A): 7-8 pages
20 min. talk (17+3 mins Q/A): 5-6 pages
Poster presentaion: 5-6 pages

where a page is a NIMA page after printing. Please consult a recent NIMA issue to value a page. Also, the number of pages can be estimated as in "How to calculate the size of a paper" at the bottom.

Please pay attention to the deadline date of submission,

November 6, 2015

and plan your time in advance for writing the paper.

Instructions for online paper submission

Go to the submission website. Follow the Submit paper link and Author Login. If you are using Elsevier Editorial System (EES) for the first time, you may have to register first.

To ensure that all manuscripts are correctly identified for inclusion into the special issue, it is important that authors select “SI: NIMA_ HSTD-10” when the “Article Type” step in the submission process is reached. 

The manuscripts should be prepared in accordance with the standards of the journal. Please, have a look first at ELSEVIER'S GUIDE FOR AUTHORS. The page includes the essential article structure and their contents. One can find instructions how to write a manuscript with Wordprocessing or Latex. One can also find useful information in the Elsevier's FAQ.

How to calculate the size of a paper:
1. A full text page contains about 6800 characters (including space characters).
2. In general the title and abstract takes about 1/2 page.
3. One square figure (that fits one column) corresponds to about 1200 symbols plus about 60 symbols for one caption line.

The cost of a copy of the proceedings is included in the conference fee. A single copy will be sent to each participant.
