TRAVEL INFO

Travel information:

The conference venue is the University of Torino Rectorate Aula Magna (goo.gl/maps/VyQjX).

It is within walking distance across the city centre from Porta Nuova, the main station (goo.gl/maps/BTwQH). From there, the best way to get to the Rectorate is to follow via Roma all the way to piazza Castello, then turn right onto via Po. It will take a bit less than 20 minutes, and it’s convenient even if it’s raining thanks to the “portici” (covered sidewalks, more or less). Alternatively, you can take bus n. 68 in front of the station (headed right) and get off at the via Po stop.

Many trains stop at both stations Porta Susa and Porta Nuova, the latter being more convenient for the venue. Should your train call only at Porta Susa (TGVs from France, for example) you can use the underground, direction “Lingotto” and get off at Porta Nuova.

If you come by plane, the best way to get downtown is the bus from Caselle to the Porta Nuova station.

From CERN, the fastest way is by car trough the Mont Blanc tunnel. Please note, however that parking is very expensive in the city centre.
