Description

The Fifth Annual ALICE Tier-1/Tier-2 Workshop will take place in Torino, hosted by the University of Torino and the Torino unit of INFN.

Torino, the capital of the Piedmont region of northwest Italy, is known for its fast cars, chocolate, numerous world-class museums, Baroque and contemporary architectural masterpieces. The distinguished venue will be the aula magna of the University of Torino Rectorate, on the central via Po.

As in the past, the workshop aims to gather experts on Grid middleware, distributed computing technology, storage, operations, network and the computing sites providing resources for ALICE. Special emphasis will be put on new sites and capacity expansion as well as novel mechanisms for resources management.
 

The workshop is organized by INFN-Torino with the kind collaboration of the University of Torino and sponsored by Dell / Trii Technologies
