International Workshop on Hadron Nuclear Physics 2015

July 7-11, 2015 @ Krabi, THAILAND

Welcome

The HNP workshop has a long history. It started as a part of collaboration between Japan and Korea in 1999, and joined later by Chinese physicists. Then, the QNP (Quark Nuclear Physics) workshop has started as a regular workshop almost every year until 2006. However, since there is another QNP workshop initiated in Europe and the philosophies of this workshop differ largely from the European one, instead of merging the two workshops, the workshop was kept but renamed as Hadron Nuclear Physics workshop in 2009. The HNP2009 was the seventh workshop, so the HNP2015 is indeed the tenth workshop.

Since the HNP was started from a part of collaboration, two philosophies have been kept: Firstly, look for possibilities of the collaboration through the workshop. Secondly, encourage and cheer up young scientists to present their scientific results in this workshop. The HNP2015 organizers would like to keep these two philosophies.

The HNP workshop was initiated among South Korea, Japan and China. It was extended to include broader countries after the discussions at the last workshop in Zhangjiajie with the motivation of enhance the research force in eastern and south eastern Asia.

The Hadron Nuclear Physics 2015 is the fourth edition of this series of international workshops organized approximately every 2 years since 2009 when it was named Hadron Nuclear Physics workshop.  Previous editions have taken place in Osaka (Japan) 2009, Pohang (Korea) 2011 and Zhangjiajie (China) 2013.  The present workshop will concentrate on hot topics of hadrons, nuclei, and nuclear matter. In particular, it will provide a good opportunity to share information and ideas about recent hot issues such as newly-found hadron states and novel phenomena in medium, new theoretical tools. It will include presentations of related new data, new analysis techniques, new experimental facilities, and recent developments of theoretical works.

The Hadron Nuclear Physics 2015 is jointly organized by Suranaree University of Technology (SUT), Rajamangala University of Technology Isan (RMUTI) and Thailand Center of Excellence in Physics (ThEP) on July 7-11, 2015 at Krabi, Thailand.
