Travel Information

The Forum on Tracking Detector Mechanics 2016 will take place at the LVR LandesMuseum, Colmantstrasse 14-16, 53115 Bonn (Germany). The conference venue is conveniently located, just a couple of minutes on foot from the Bonn's main train station (Bonn Hauptbanhof).

How to get there?

From Cologne-Bonn airport

From Cologne-Bonn airport you may take the bus no. SB 60 to Bonn central station. The ride takes approximately 30 min and you can buy the tickets directly from the driver.

The Museum can now easily be reached on foot (approximately 5 minutes):

  • Cross the street between the bus stop and the railway station at the nearest traffic lights on the platform.

  • Turn right and walk down the stairs.

  • Turn left and leave the station by its western exit.

From Frankfurt airport (via Siegburg ICE station)

From Frankfurt airport you may take the high speed train (ICE - Intercity Express) to Siegburg. From Siegburg ICE station you take the tramway no. 66 to Bonn central station:

  • Walk down the stairs from the ICE platform to the tramway ('Stadtbahn'), to the right side.

  • Enter the tram no. 66 (Telekom-Express). Siegburg is the terminus of the line and the sign on the tram may display Königswinter or Bad Honnef. All trains stop at Bonn.

  • Get out at Bonn-Hauptbahnhof Tief (first underground stop, the ride takes approximately 25 min). You are right under the main train station.

From Düsseldorf airport

From Düsseldorf airport railway station you may take the regional train RE5 directly to Bonn central station (the ride takes approx. 60 min and there are machines available at the airport train lounge).

The Düsseldorf airport railway station can be reached from the airport terminal via the SkyTrain.
