The participants are requested to familiarize themselves with the visa requirements well in advance of the workshop. Letters of invitation for visa purposes will be available upon request to the organizer; please contact us in this case at hep-chile@usm.cl. Please contact the Chilean consulate of your country to check your visa requirements.
Arrival Formalities
Passengers have to present their required travel documents, i.e. passport or identity card and the duly stamped visa if necessary, when they enter Chile.
Entering Chile, tourists are required to fill out a Tourist Card (typically handed out in the aircraft, otherwise the Tourist Cards are also available at the airport in Santiago). This Tourist Card has to be returned when leaving the country..

Incoming passengers who hold an Australian or Mexican passport should pay a "Reciprocity Fee" before going through the International Police security checkpoint at the airport, and then continue to the Immigration Control.
