Following the discussion, and the request for training, at last year's ENLIGHT meeting in Krakow our Dutch hosts are organising a one day training event on Saturday 17th September. This training is for PhD students and post-docs, but all interested participants are very welcome to attend.
The objective is to provide a broader view on a few selected topics within our multi-disciplinary field.
The lecturers will explore these topics both from the medical perspective and the physics perspective.

The topics selected are:
1) Radiobiology, as this is the basis of our understanding and has direct impact on effective treatment
2) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) as a topic to broaden our view (especially in the newly emerging field of MRI guided radiation therapy) and the future possibility of MRI guided particle therapy
3) Multi-modal imaging as a field that will expand and allows us to get as much information as possible about the patient to both improve diagnostics and treatment efficiency
4) Big Data as we will have to deal with an ever growing amount of data and start providing personalised solutions.
