from COINTRIN, GENEVA AIRPORT to CERN
A free CERN shuttle service operates from the airport to CERN (except Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays). More information, including the times that the shuttle leaves the airport, can be found at the following link:
http://smb-dep.web.cern.ch/en/ShuttleService/Circuit4
* Please note that to get to the CERN shuttle stop you walk out of the arrivals area and walk straight to the exit in front of you. Once outside you cross the road where the taxis are and also past the lifts of the exterior car park. The shuttle stop is beyond this, either on the left or right depending where the driver can find a space to stop.
As any person must be in possession of a card issued by CERN certifying that he is authorised to enter the site, the drivers will ask the passengers at the airport to show their CERN access card. In case they do not have it, they will be dropped off at the CERN reception (building 33) to pick up the access card as mentioned below.
If you take the public transport, remember that you can get a free pass from the machine located in the baggage collection area, just in front of the doors near the customs declaration.
