The workshop will take place at the Escola de Hotelaria e Turismo do Algarve (EHTA) in Faro, Portugal. It is located within walking distance of the historic city center of Faro, where numerous locations for site-seeing, restaurants, and bars are situated. For more information on the city, we refer to the website of the Municipality of Faro.
You can travel to Faro by plane, train, or bus. Most likely you will be arriving at Faro International Airport, which is served by several major airlines. Another option would be to fly to Lisbon and take the train or bus to Faro. The Faro bus station and railway station are located at a 2-5-minute walk from the city center.
From the airport, the city can be reached by taxi or by bus.
One option is to contact AJD Transfers, either by email or online. Prices from Faro Airport to Faro city are €15 (1-4 persons) or €20 (5-8 persons). From 10 pm until 7 am the rates change to €17 (1-4 persons) or €23 (between 5-8 persons) due to the added night-service tax. When making a reservation, be sure to mention the event code: WKSLORENTZ.
You can take another taxi as well. There will be several of them waiting right outside the arrivals hall. Also Uber is available in Faro and the rest of the Algarve.
If you prefer the bus, you can take either bus 14 or bus 16 (note that bus 14 is operated less frequently than bus 16). If you are staying at the EHTA, the best option is to take line 14 and exit at the Tribunal, after which it will take you a 9 min walk to reach the venue. Bus 16 will take you to the bus terminal, which might also be convenient, depending on the location of the hotel you are staying in.

Note that Faro is located in the region of the Algarve, which is one of the major resort areas in Europe with an exceptionally pleasant climate. The city center of Faro is located about 7 km from the Atlantic beach (reachable for example with bus 14, 16, or 17) and on the edge of the Ria Formosa nature reserve.
