How to arrive
By plane
Asturias is served by an airport (Ranón airport) which is 60 km from the venue place. List of airlines operating at this airport. The vertex 2017 organization has arranged a shuttle service from/to the airport (see details below)

If you miss the vertex shuttle, you can still arrive to the conference venue using public transport. Take the ALSA bus to Oviedo and once there, pick either a cab or a public bus.
Public transport
The ALSA coach company provides transport to/from the airport to Oviedo. The bus runs once per hour, price is 8 euro, travel duration is around 30 minutes. Buses are comfortable with free WiFi and completely safe. The bus stops at the central bus station. Now you have a 10 min walk from the bus station to the "Escuela de Inegniería de Minas", where you can pick bus G1. Get off at Las Caldas, just in front of the hotel Enclave. Alternatively, you can pick up a taxi from Oviedo to Las Caldas (15').
