Other Options

Seattle has an active AirBnB community, and there are often places available near the university during the summer. You can also find places further afield, for example, along the light rail line. Note that getting from the light rail station to the conference location is a 10 minute brisk walk, or a 15 minute more normal paced walk. Any site, like Priceline or hotels.com will have deals for downtown and most of those hotels are a 8 to 10 minute light rail ride from the UW light rail station. Costs for downtown should be cheaper than the University area.
