Problem solving workshop hackathons are becoming more and more common in the world of academia. CERN and the LHC experiments have been involved in these type of projects for many years, bringing together data scientists, coders and innovators, from extremely diverse backgrounds. This talk offers a review of the most recents hackathon project and their impact on the world of high energy physics.
