How to reach Krakow?

There are plenty of flights to Krakow, see for instance EasyJet flight from Geneva to Krakow on Saturdays.

Balice-Kraków International Airport (www.krakowairport.pl)   is very close and well connected to the City Centre by public transportation (train/bus services) and by taxi.

Pyrzowice-Katowice International Airport (www.katowice-airport.com) is located about 100 km away from Kraków. A number of low-cost airlines fly to this airport. A direct bus connection Katowice aiport and Krakow city center (Main Railway Station)  about 1h30min.

How to get to your hotel after arriving to Krakow?

  • Take a taxi from the airport to your hotel (about 50 PLN, 12 Euro) to the city centre, please confirm the price with the driver before the trip!) You can call: Icar ( + 48 12 653 5555), MegaTaxi( +48 124 124 124) or Eko  taxi: +48 12 644 22 22 , they are usually cheaper than taxi you can find directly at the airport .
  • Take a train from the airport (from the T1 international terminal) to the ‘Kraków Główny’ railway station – travel time approx. 16 min, see here. Then take a taxi or use public transport, bus or tram.
  • Take bus 208 (it goes rarely: timetable) or 902 (night bus: timetable) to the City Centre then continue with another bus, tram, or taxi. The bus 208 goes also directly to the venue (bus stop: ‘Chopina’). It takes about 45 min to reach AGH UST from the airport by bus. Bus and tram ticket can be bought at the ticked machines on the stops or inside the vehicle.

The ‘ Krakow Airport ’ bus stop is located outside the City Zone. The Agglomeration Zone ticket (regular fare 4.00 PLN – 1 Euro) is required for trip to and from the airport.

We recommend you to use this site http://kmkrakow.atlaskolejowy.net/ which will show you all of the bus connections and guide you directly to place you want.
