Practical Information

The 2019 European School of High- Energy Physics (ESHEP 2019), is being organized jointly by: CERN, Geneva, Switzerland and JINR, Russia; and a team of local organizers from institutes in Russia.

The School will be held in St. Petersburg, Russia from 4 to 17 September 2019.

Students should aim to arrive in St. Petersburg in the afternoon of Wednesday 4 September and leave from mid-morning of Tuesday 17 September. The tuition (lectures, and other parts of the official programme) will take place from 5 to 16 September.

We will be accommodated at the New Peterhof Hotel, about 45 minutes from St. Petersburg airport. All of the lectures will take place in the conference facilites of the hotel.

Personal contacts and informal discussions among the participants during leisure time are an important aspect of the School. For this reason, participants are asked to note that they should not be accompanied by family members or friends.

The working language of the School will be English. Participants must therefore have a good understanding of English to enable them to benefit from the School.

The School Proceedings will be published as a CERN Yellow Report. Proceedings from earlier schools are available (see Previous European Schools).
