FROM PRAGUE AIRPORT TO THE WORKSHOP VENUE (MICHNA PALACE)
By taxi
Taxi is much more expensive than public transport and only a little bit faster. It is reasonable to use taxis only for night arrivals/departures, when bus line 119 does not operate.
We recommend using FIX Taxi or Taxi Praha, which are the official taxi companies operating at the airport - www.prg.aero/en/taxi. You can find taxis in front of the arrivals halls of both terminals. The fare from the airport to the conference venue/offered hotels can be expected to be around 500 CZK (a higher fare is possible depending on the current traffic).
By public transport
Take bus no. 119 from the airport to its final stop "Nádraží Veleslavín" then take metro line A to "Malostranská" station (4 stops). There change to tram No. 12, 20 or 23 to "Újezd" stop (3 stops). The palace is situated just 190m from the tram stop - see the map.
Michna Palace is only a few steps from the tram stop “Hellichova” and “Újezd”.
The journey takes about 45 minutes and you can use a 32 CZK ticket (valid for 90 minutes).
You can find information or buy tickets at public transport info centers at the airport:
Public transport info centers at Prague Airport
http://www.dpp.cz/en/info-centres-at-prague-airport/
The info centers are located in the arrival halls of both terminals and are open daily from 7:00 to 21:00. They offer all the relevant information on the operation of public transport in Prague, its routes, timetables and fares. We recommend to buy your tickets there as vending machines at bus/tram/metro stations accept only coins.
FROM THE MAIN RAILWAY STATION TO WORKSHOP VENUE
From the railway station (Bolzanova street) take tram No. 15 to tram stop “Újezd”. The palace is situated just 190m from the tram stop. See the map.
The journey takes about 15 minutes and you can use a 24 CZK ticket (this ticket is valid for 30 minutes after validating it in the bus) or 32 CZK ticket (valid for 90 minutes)
Tram stop at the main railway station is located on the Bolzanova street - 300m from the departure. See the map.
PUBLIC TRANSPORT IN PRAGUE
The public transportation system in Prague consists of buses, metro and trams. There is also a funicular going onto the top of the hill "Petřín" with beautiful view over the Old Town and the central parts of the New Town (this funicular is very close to the workshop venue).
Tickets can be bought at many newspaper shops. Larger stations have yellow vending machines, but they accept only coins. Most of the trams also has a card-terminal inside now. Please remember to validate your ticket before entering metro zones or inside bus/tram. All tickets are transfer tickets, i.e., you are allowed to change among different kinds of transportation as many time as you need until the ticket expires.
Tickets with four different periods of validity are available http://www.dpp.cz/en/fares-in-prague/:
30 min | 24 CZK |

1 day | 110 CZK |
