Description
Since the discovery of the Higgs boson, there have been active planning efforts for the future of high energy physics beyond the LHC, and several Higgs factories based on electron positron colliders have been proposed. This meeting, to be held at the University of Chicago during September 16-18, 2019, will focus on one such proposal, the Circular Electron Positron Collider (CEPC), with the goal of promoting collaborations among communities working on future high energy colliders as well as facilitating formation of international collaborations.
This meeting at the University of Chicago (Physics Research Center Rm 201, 933 East 56th Street) follows very successful meetings in Rome, Italy and Oxford, UK. In particular, this meeting will serve as a platform for the CEPC team to engage with the HEP community in the US, in preparation for possible community planning exercises in the future.
