Description

Neutron induced reaction cross sections are of major importance in a wide variety of research fields, ranging from stellar nucleosynthesis, neutron-induced symmetry breaking, and nuclear level density investigation, to applications of nuclear technology, including the transmutation of nuclear waste, accelerator driven systems and nuclear fuel cycle investigations. In this presentation we will give an outline of neutron resonance spectroscopy, with a focus on neutron capture, and and overview of part of the related ongoing experimental activities.
