Description
The neutron capture cross section of Am-241 is being measured at n_TOF during 2010 experimental campaign. The measurement, which combines for the first time the 4pi Total Absorption Calorimeter with a pair of low neutron sensitivity C6D6 detectors, aims at providing high accuracy data from thermal up to 1 MeV neutron energy. The experimental set-up will be discussed and first data will be presented.
