LISHEP2021

Session C

ABOUT LISHEP

LISHEP was created in 1993 and is organized in four different sessions:

SESSION A – Science on Secondary School
SESSION B – Advanced School in HEP
SESSION C – Workshop in HEP
SESSION D – HEP Associated Technologies

This year, only sessions A and C will be held.

Session C is chaired by Harvey Newman and Alberto Santoro and will be held from July 6th to 8th. Session A is chaired by A. Santoro with focus on New Technologies of Big Data in High Energy Physics.

SOME REMARKS ABOUT LISHEP2021

LISHEP 2021 will be completely virtual, using Zoom as a videoconferencing platform and Youtube for simultaneous transmission. This edition of LISHEP was originally scheduled for past year but, as it happened with many other conferences, we were forced to postpone the event (with several expenditures already done with posters and other materials and services) due to the pandemic outbreak, which will possibly still last for the entire year of 2021. In order not to go too many years without communicating with our community and with all those who appreciate High Energy Physics, we made the decision to carry out this virtual edition.

There are other not yet confirmed talks which may soon be added to this list. Please, check the web page regularly for an updated version of the program.

In this special year, due to the virtual nature of the event, we will have to shorten the daily session time length and consequently the number of talks. The unavoidable consequences are shorter talks and a smaller number of speakers. There will be long talks (30 min) and short talks (15 min).

As highlighted before, the main purpose of holding LISHEP 2021 is not to stay too much time without communicating with the High Energy Physics community in our Country, Latin America and rest of the World.

REGISTRATION

We strongly advise all participants to visit the webpage (https://indico.cern.ch/event/879856/) and fill the registration form, if not done so yet. This is very important for our organization.

It will be possible to watch the talks via Zoom (a link will be available on the web page) or via Youtube on the address:
