Liquid Helium Week at CERN
For the first arrival at CERN on 29 August, registrants should proceed directly to "Gate B" (see map) where they will be informed on where to go.
In case anyone arrives at a different time than most of the group (Sunday 29 August, around noon), please advise the organization (send mail). Registrants arriving unexpectedly should go to the Main Reception (open from Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm) and call Sébastien Juvet at +4176 487 9332 (from a CERN internal phone it is 169332), or Thomas Eisel +4176 487 0173 (160173).
Here are some things you need to know before coming to CERN.
VISA
CERN is located on the Swiss and French territories, around 8 kilometers from downtown Geneva. For you to come here you may need a Schengen VISA. If necessary, please contact the organization at your university for the required documents.
INSURANCE
All the registered participants are required to have a proper health and accident coverage.
