The TH-LPCC Summer Institute on LHC Physics

This 5-week Institute is co-organized by CERN's Theory Group and by the LHC Physics Centre at CERN.

Format: The first two weeks of the Institute will be focused on SM and QCD while the last three weeks will be devoted to BSM, with a special emphasis on model building during the first two, and on the status of the searches at the LHC in the last one. In particular, during this week the Institute will host the first meeting of the Workshop on "Implications of LHC results for TeV-scale physics". This is open for participation to those not registered at the Institute, at
https://indico.cern.ch/conferenceDisplay.py?confId=141983

Registration: The attendance will be limited to around 40 people per week. There is no registration fee. Registration will be open until Jan. 31, 2011.

Local Organization: Stefano Frixione, Gian Giudice, Christophe Grojean, Michelangelo Mangano, Gavin Salam, Peter Skands and Geraldine Servant.

The meeting will be partly supported by

  • the CERN-TH unit
  • the LHC Physics Centre at CERN
  • the Marie Curie Initial Training Network "UNILHC" PITN-GA-2009-23792,
  • and the ERC Advanced Grant "MassTeV" 226371.
