16th WP5 Meeting

Europe/Zurich
Federico Nguyen

Participation: ENEA, KIT, ST, STFC, Strathclyde, ALBA, KYMA, CERN, PSI, Uppsala

T. Schmidt suggests to consider the "Measuring systems" among the industrial assets to be discussed with the WP7.

H. M. C. Cortes asks whether the HXR will be operated with no afterburner. F. Nguyen answers that this decision will be taken at the end of the meeting.

S. Richter asks B. Shepherd some comments on the winding turnarounds and on the corrector coils.

J. Marcos comments on the chance to set either vertical or horizontal polarisation for the in-vacuum APPLE-X.

T. Milharcic asks to comment on the forces compensation.

T. Milharcic comments on the module prices and how mechanics could be simplified.

V. Goryashko asks to comment whether it's possible to set both RH and LH circular polarisation on helical SCU.

V. Goryashko clearly shows that attaining variable polarisation by means of optical manipulation is highly inefficient.

Since we are going to operate a User Facility, both SXR and HXR operation layouts will be equipped with a SASE line based on helical SCUs and an afterburner line based on in-vacuum PMUs

There are minutes attached to this event. Show them.
