Description

The RDBC (ROOT DataBase Connectivity) library is a C++ implementation of the The Java Database Connectivity Application Programming Interface. It provides a DBMS-independent interface to relational databases from ROOT as well as a generic SQL database access framework. RDBC also extends the ROOT TSQL abstract interface. Currently it is used in two large experiments: - in Minos as interface to MySQL and Oracle databases - in Phenix as interface to PostgreSQL database. In this paper we will describe the main features and applicability of this library.
