Description
We present an overview of the RQCD and ALPHA collaboration's combined effort on charm decay constants. Our calcluations are based on the $N_\mathrm{f}=2+1$ CLS ensembles including the physical point. We discuss our analysis strategy and present results for the pseudoscalar and vector decay constants $f_{D_{(\mathrm{s})}}$ and $f_{D_{(\mathrm{s})}^\ast}$ as well as the coupling of the $D_{(\mathrm{s})}^\ast$-mesons to the tensor current.
