Travel information:
The center can be reached by car from the Long Island Expressway (LIE, Exit 62, going north on CR 97 to the main entrance of the University - about 20 minutes from the LIE). The main entrance to the University will be located on your left (note it is the second entrance heading north on Nicolls). Turn left on Circle Road and follow it until you reach the traffic circle. At the traffic circle, take the first exit onto Campus Drive. At the fourth stop sign, turn right on Campus Drive, then make an immediate left onto John S. Toll Drive. The Simons Center will be on your right just past a large parking lot and group of trees. To find the campus via GPS, enter the address "100 Nicolls Road, Stony Brook, NY 11790."
You may also reach the center by train. From Penn Station in NYC, take the Long Island Rail Road's Port Jefferson line to Stony Brook Station. Walking directions from the train station to the Simons Center can be seen here. Cross over Circle Road towards the Athletic Fields. Stay on path until you reach John S. Toll Drive (you will pass a track to the left and a parking lot to the right). Turn right on John S. Toll Drive (near the Sports Complex and a small parking lot). Stay on John S. Toll Drive until you see the Simons Center (glass/brick building, gated parking lot) on your left. Train Schedules & Fares
