We would like to invite you to the SCET 2011 workshop, which will be jointly hosted by Carnegie Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh from March 6-8, 2011.

The workshop is intended to be fairly specialized, aiming at people with some familiarity with SCET. It is planned to have a limited number of invited talks with lots of time for discussion and interactions among the participants. As in previous years a wide range of topics within SCET shall be covered including conceptual issues and established as well as novel applications in QCD or other sectors of the Standard Model.

Please register early; first 40 registrants will have the guaranteed invitation to the conference dinner. To have an informal environment with lots of discussion, workshop is limited to 60 participants.

The following information might be useful for your planning:

  • The scientific program will start in the morning of March 6 and finish on March 8.
  • Most convenient place to stay is the Holiday Inn at University Center in Oakland, which is located about a few minute walk from the CMU and U.Pitt. Campuses. Address is 100 Lytton Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213. To book your accommodation you can directly call them at +1-412-682-6200 and reference SCE for a discounted rate of $129 a night. Parking is additional $20 a night.
