Second Bulletin

Dear Colleagues,

This is the second bulletin for the SCET 2011 workshop at Pittsburgh jointly hosted by Carnegie Mellon University and University of Pittsburgh from March 6-8, 2011. Web page http://indico.cern.ch/event/SCET2011

he registration period will end on January 31st and as of now we only have about 10 spots left. So any one interested in attending this workshop should register ASAP. Please feel free to forward this email to other people who may be interested in this workshop.

Invitations for giving presentations will be sent out at the beginning of February. If you have already registered as of now, thank you. Do not forget to make your hotel reservations and appropriate travel arrangements. Information on accommodation and travel was provided in first bulletin and can be accessed from the website.

Update on January 11th, 2011


Dear SCET 2011 Participants

At this point we would like to know if you are interested in giving a talk at the workshop. If you are willing then please include arxiv numbers for published work and a short abstract for work in progress. If you have already made a suggestion/recommendation while registering, be assured that we have already taken it into consideration. Please send your abstract by January 17th so we can make a decision in timely manner. Please note that this does not guarantee that we will be able to give you a slot but we will consider it on the basis of interest and relevance.

Other updates:

1. If you are going to have a car while you are attending the workshop, please check the website for updated information on. Also let us know so that we can make sure you have a parking spot on campus. Extra charges may apply.

2. Workshop will end at 3:30 pm on Tuesday 03/08/2011.

3. Workshop is almost full, only 5 spots are left at this point. Invitations for talk will be sent in early February.
