Description

   The “1st. ROC-LA Workshop” will be held at CERN, from October 6th to 8th, 2010.

   It aims to provide an environment for discussions, on a Face-to-Face type meeting. It also focus on policies and strategies to further disseminate the GRID activities in Latin America.

   The idea is to provide a place to discuss about the ROC-LA (https://roc-la.org) administrative policies, problems common to the GRID sites and their solutions, etc, among its members.

   During this workshop, presentations conducted by experts about several aspects of the GRID, middleware and administrative tools, as well as discussions about the computing model of the four LHC-CERN experiments, will take place.

   These presentations aim to introduce the latest status and future plans on the several aspects of the GRID, ranging from administrative tools, middleware and political organization.
