ANALYSIS OF EARTHQUAKE EFFECT FOR BELLEII DETECTOR AND SUPERKEKB ACCELERATOR

Oral Monitoring Session 4 - Monitoring I

Speaker

Hiroshi Yamaoka (KEK)

Description

Japan is the place of the most occurred earthquakes in the world. Displacement when earthquake occur is sometime gives damages to experimental devices or facilities. Although counter measures against earthquake are happened such as installing bellows at beam pipes or keeping some gap for clear earthquake shaking between the detectors, displacement due to an earthquake exceeds an allowable range sometimes. So, we expect a displacement of earthquake by performing response spectrum analysis, and measure displacement with laser displacement sensors and acceleration sensors at the BELLEII detector and the SuperKEKB accelerator in KEK, respectively.
In this talk, it is presented the results of response spectrum analysis and comparison of displacement due to earthquakes.
