Description
This poster will present the current status of the FAIR project in general, the future Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research in Darmstadt, Germany. Work on the project has been the subject of some contributions at previous IWAA workshops, and over the years many survey and alignment concepts were updated and new tool developments took place, multiple efforts have been done to be able to determine the positions of accelerator components even better, even faster, even more accurate, or to find them at all…
But for what?
We want to enlarge the view and outline some details about “the Universe in the Lab”.
