Travel information

Currently there are no COVID restrictions in the conference venue.

We will have a number of FFP2 masks to distribute free of charge to participants who request them. After exhaustion of the reserve, participants who wish/need a mask will have to buy it by themselves in the village's pharmacy.

We will have a small number of COVID19 autotests for participants who may need to get tested, until exhaustion of the reserve. After exhaustion of the reserve, participants who wish/need an autotest will have to buy it by themselves in the village's pharmacy.

Travel between Chania airport (CHQ) and conference venue

The Orthodox Academy of Crete (OAC) can be reached from the Chania airport (CHQ) via taxi rides, with a flat rate of about 50--60 euros for each ride.

We are collecting information on people who may be interested in a ride, i.e. if there are enough interested people we may organize one or two bus rides for a substantially smaller per-person fee. Please make sure you check the relevant box in the registration form if you are interested.

3.09.2022: We will announce in a couple of days the conference-provided options for travelling from/to the airport. In case you don't want or cannot use these, please be aware that the Cretan public bus schedule can be found here: https://www.e-ktel.com/en/services/dromologia (Kolymbari is spelled "Kolimpari" in the list of bus stations in that website).
