TCL (find maps here) short for Transports de la Communauté Lyonnaise, sell tickets for different purposes, all allowing you to use buses, trams, subway lines or funiculars, or any combination, but only for the duration shown on the ticket:
- 1 hour, one-way ticket (no return), ~1.60€. Get them as single tickets on machines or even buses (but not tram, subway cars, funicular). It is cheaper to buy ten tickets at a time from machines at stations (but not on buses, subway nor trams), 14€ for ten in 2011.
- 2 hour ticket (Liberté 2 heures). Allows all sorts of round trips. Some buses sell them. Get them from machines. 2.50€ per ticket.
- 1 evening ticket (Liberté soirée, after 4 p.m. and until closing time, slightly past midnight). 2,50€ per ticket.
- 1 day ticket (Liberté un jour), all TCL trips during all day. Get them from machines, sometimes available on buses. 4.80€. The name of the passenger should in principle be written on the ticket.
