All prices, quoted at end of 2010 are liable to be raised by ~4% in 2011. Prices are different (cheaper) for week-end (starting on friday night). All hotels seem to add a ~1€ tax on your stay (not included in all prices).
Hotels within walking distance:
- Hôtel Holiday Inn, in Villeurbanne. About 15 mn walk, or bus n° 38. Website. Price for individual rooms (quote UCBL contract number: 00 90 914): around 90€ + breakfast (~15€).
- Hôtel Ariana (Villeurbanne, « Les Gratte-ciel » [famous skyscraper-like buildings, only less tall; lively area]). Website. About 15 rooms reserved for ENLIGHT booking, around 80€, including breakfast. Use tram T1 and subway line D (connection at Charpennes), about 15 mn plus connection time.
- Hôtel de la Cité (***). Website. Expensive (around 140€ per single), but nice and close to meetings. Use bus C1 from Part-Dieu (direct, final stop), and walk from Hôtel to Campus through the Parc de la Tête d'Or (15 mn).
- Hôtel Ibis (Caluire, about 30 mn walk, on the right bank of Rhône). Website. Price ~93€/single + breakfast (8€). Mention "tarif UCBL pour ENLIGHT" and reservation code "191187". Hurry as they will not keep the rooms for long..
- Hôtel des Congrès (***): Website. Few rooms. No possibility to make group reservations at interesting rate (we tried!). You can try and mention the "tarif UCBL for ENLIGHT", but not sure you will get it...
Hotel at Charpennes
(between la Doua and Part-Dieu, on the T1 tramway line; good compromise if you feel like visiting the city afterwards, only 5-6 stations away from Lyon Presqu'île and vieux lyon, where all the good things happen):- Hôtel Mercure. Website. 124,10€/single including breakfast for night of Feb. 2nd, and lower prices for nights of 3rd (115,10€) or 4th (77,10€). Mention "ENLIGHT".
