Thanks a lot for participating in HASCO 2023! We hope you had a great time in Göttingen! Don't forget to check our photos and this year's video as well!

The main objective of the hadron collider physics school (HASCO) is to provide an overview of elementary particle physics with particular focus on hadron collider physics at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). This is done via lectures and tutorials on theoretical foundations of the Standard Model of elementary particle physics as well as the modern experimental techniques for testing it. Another focus is placed on statistical data analysis. In line with this, an introduction to the software package ROOT and pp-physics at 13.6 TeV will be given. Moreover, students will have the opportunity to discuss state of the art measurements and results with senior scientists in the field.

The school mainly targets Master of Science students. However, advanced Bachelor students or early PhD students are also eligible and welcome to attend. Please contact your local advisor for further details.

We are accepting applications for HASCO 2023 until 23:59 CET on March 24.

Additionally, you can now also check out the HASCO 2023 video and the photos made during the school!
