Useful Information

1. Registration Desk


The registration desk will be located in front of the CERN Main Auditorium (room 500/1-001) from 12 PM to 2 PM on Tuesday 12th March. Please come as early as possible.

If you are arriving later in the week, please inform us.

 

2. Access to CERN


We granted access to all external participants registered to the meeting. If you don't hold a CERN access card, please print your ticket (available on your Indico registration) and show it to the guards at Gate B (Main Entrance) to enter CERN premises. You will be requested to show your passport or identity card  If possible, we also advise you to print out this email and carry it with you. 

 
Once registered, the workshop badge will be complementary to your CERN access card during the week. Please do not lose it as you might have to show it.  

 

3. Agenda & Meeting Rooms


The latest version of the agenda is available on Indico. You can find the details about your contribution and upload your slides on the meeting Indico page. Please note that you must be registered in Indico in order to upload your slides.

Please contact your working group leader if you have any questions about your contribution.

The plenary session scheduled on the first day will take place in the Main Auditorium (500/1-001).

On the second and third day, the sessions will take place in Building 30 (Auditorium 30/7-018 and Room 30/7-010) and Building 6  (Auditorium 6/2-024 and Room 6/R-012). On the last day, the closing plenary session will take place in the Council Chamber (503/1-001) in the Main Building.

Please check your meeting room before every session, as there might be some last-minute change. You can find the exact location of the meeting rooms on the CERN map: https://maps.web.cern.ch/ .  Please note the distances to reach the conference buildings:

  • Main Building (B. 500): ~ 5 min walk from CERN Gate B (main entrance)
  • Building 30 (B. 30) :  ~ 20 min walk from CERN Gate B
  • Building 6 (B. 6): ~ 10 min walk from CERN Gate B or Building 30

A CERN shuttle is available on the Meyrin site. Please check timetable at: https://sce-dep.web.cern.ch/mobility/shuttle/circuit-1 

4. Zoom links


Zoom links are available (on a day-to-day basis) to all registered participants from the left menu of the Indico overview page: https://indico.cern.ch/event/1325963/videoconference/ 

 

If you or your colleagues have not registered to the event and wish to access some of the sessions remotely, please register on Indico (Late Zoom registration) : https://indico.cern.ch/event/1325963/registrations/98026/

Please note that the Zoom links will be available to registered participants only.

 

5. Laptop registration


You can register your laptop using the following link:

Please indicate Alexia Augier as contact. (There is no need to mention the CERN Department nor the CERN Group in the form).

Please take note that you will not be able to register your laptop from outside CERN.

 

6.  Registration fees and Receipts


Please ensure that you have duly paid your fees for you and your guests. Please note that no further reimbursement will be made.

Receipts can be prepared upon request. If you need a payment receipt, please contact muon.collider.secretariat@cern.ch mentioning any details that should appear on the receipt.

 

7.  Social dinner - Edelweiss Restaurant - 13 March at 7h30 PM


For the social dinner we propose a typical Swiss fondue at Edelweiss Restaurant (Pl. de la Navigation 2, 1201 Geneva) on Wednesday 13 March at 7h30 PM.

Due to the large number of participants, please note that we might not be able to welcome further guests. If you wish to cancel your participation to the dinner, please let us know before the welcome session on Tuesday 12th March.

 

8.  Group Picture – Tuesday 12 March 2024 at 3.30 PM


A picture of all participants will be done during the coffee break of plenary session on Tuesday 12th March.

Please note that the picture will be publicly available on CDS and it might be use by CERN or third parties for communication and dissemination purposes. If you don’t want your image to be used, please do not join the group picture. 

 

9.  CERN Hostel


If you are staying at the CERN Hostel, we remind you that all modifications or cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. Please contact the CERN Hostel directly:

In case of “No show”, a penalty equivalent to the cost of the first night of the reservation shall be charged to the debit or credit card of the participant.

If you are arriving outside the Hostel reception’s opening hours, room keys can be obtained from the security guard on duty at the entrance to CERN's Meyrin site (Swiss side) - Gate B.
