Description

Luminosity determination in ALICE is based on the van der Meer (vdM) scan procedure. The vdM scan data in Run 3 are collected through subsystems such as Fast Interaction Trigger (FIT), Zero Degree Calorimeter (ZDC), and Inner Tracking System 2 (ITS2). In the vdM scan, the two beam bunches are moved in opposite directions along the horizontal or vertical axis. The visible cross section is obtained through the vdM scan by measuring the rate of visible processes as a function of the separation between beams using FIT and ZDC. This procedure includes corrections based on vertex distribution from ITS2. The poster will show the methodology and the current status of luminosity analysis during the LHC Run3 in ALICE.
