There are a number of craft beer bars and shops in Hamburg, here are some of them:
The Baby Goat - Brewpub also serving food, including Cheeky Pies. A bit out of the way, but worth a visit
Bar Oorlam - The bar of the Hamburg brewery Buddelship. Small, with limited opening hours (closes early), but worth a look if you're nearby. Like sitting in someone's front room
Beyond Beer - Hamburg's best beer store, Sternschanze/Eimsbüttel, with up to six beers on tap. Friendly and with a wide selection of styles. Your first port of call, closes at 8pm (Fridays at 10pm)
Braustättchen am Fischmarkt - Small beer store on the Fischmarkt with a couple of taps, is a bit out of the way, but if you're down by the river exploring. Also near the excellent Eier Carl bar, which serves a limited menu of delicious german food and incredible homemade eggnog
Brewdog - At the city end of the Reeperbahn, you know what to expect
Craft Beer Bar - Does exactly what it says on the tin, around 30 craft beers on tap. They also do average Pizza, but you're in Sternschanze, plenty of options available. And they have a shuffleboard
Galopper des Jahres - On Schulterblatt in Sternschanze, they could have some good beers on, they might not. But you're in Sternschanze, plenty of options available
Gloria - In Eimsbüttel, not far from Beyond Beer. There's one beer to go here for, delicious Pilsner Urquell Tankbeer, a pilsner delivered no more than 24 hours old, direct from Czechia. The chalkboard outside tells you how many days ago it was delivered, between 0 and 3. They also have pretty good food and great cakes
Irish Pub in the Fleetenkieker - Near the Rathaus (Town Hall) in the city centre. More like an Irish Pub that also sells some craft beers, but the food, live sport and Guinness are all great
Kyti Voo - Bar near the Alster / Hauptbahnhof with a selection of mainly german craft beers
Langang - Hamburg brewery in Altona-Nord, with a tap room open Wednesday-Saturday, also offers brewery tours. A bit hidden, follow your nose
Malto - Brewpub near Altona, run by the very friendly Francesco, brewing his own beers on site, served on tap alongside guest brews. Garden out the back. Worth a visit, but check the variable opening times on Facebook
Omnipollos - Close to Ratsherrn. Go here for small, exotic and expensive beers. And the funky decor. Their pizzas are pretty good too
Ratsherrn - Hamburg brewery, and where the workshop dinner is on Wednesday. Offers tours. Includes the Altes Madchen restaurant (and Craft Beer Store) in Sternschanze. There are also two bars in other parts of Hamburg: Das Lokal in Eimsbüttel and Bar Mühlenkamp in Winterhude. Their best beer is far and away Matrosenschluck, which varies wildly in its opacity
Überquell - Hamburg brewery, excellent pizza and craft beers by the Elbe (kind of). The World White IPA is excellent
