Located in a historical building of the Central campus of Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Sul – the former Instituto de Química Industrial – completely restored, Centro Cultural stands as an architectural masterpiece in the heart of Porto Alegre. Built between 1922 and 1924 and inaugurated in 1926, the building was designed to host the Department of the Industrial Chemistry course, responsible for several works and sanitary inspection in the city of Porto Alegre.
