Description
In general, tracking requires significant computational resources, and the ATLAS experiment currently reconstructs only particles with transverse momentum above 0.5 GeV. However, in searches for new physics, such as long-lived charginos, analyzing lower momentum regions is expected to offer a novel approach. In this study, we formulate tracking as a combinatorial optimization problem and apply fast annealing techniques to optimize a tracking that includes low-momentum charged particles below 0.5 GeV. In this poster, we report the performance evaluation based on an investigation of the relationship between the minimum energy solutions of the objective function and factors such as input variables and reconstruction efficiency.
