The workshop does not contact you to reserve a room. If you receive a suspicious mail, please don't respond it.
There are many hotels in Tokyo and you can reserve from, for example, Booking.com, Tripadvisor etc.
If you would like to come to the UTokyo Hongo campus on foot, hotels around the Ueno station (JR, Ginza, Hibiya and Keisei lines) are good choices. Instead, you may stay in other regions and come to the campus by metro or busses; however, they are very crowded especially in the morning, and not very recommended. Hongo-sanchome (Marunouchi and Oedo lines), Todaimae (Namboku line) and Nedu (Chiyoda line) stations are near the campus.
Here are a few examples,
- Japanese style hotels (so-called "Ryokan")
- Edo Sakura : 20 min walk from Ueno (closest subway is 4 min)
- Edoya: Affordable Japanese style hotel: 5 min walk from the campus.
- Western style hotels
- Amand Hotel Tokyo: 15 min walk from the campus.
- Business hotels
- APA hotel Ueno-Ekimae(On Booking.com): 20 min walk from the campus.
- Reasonable hotel
- You can find many hotels in Booking.com. Search with Ueno-station.
- If you would like to try a capsule hotel: you may try Sauna & Capsule Hotel Hokuo around the Ueno Station
