Poster session instruction for authors

Poster session

Poster contributions should be of size A0 and portrait orientation (Width=841mm, Height=1189mm).

The poster needs be submitted to the TWEPP indico agenda at least on the day before the poster session.

Posters will be sorted by topic. The poster walls will be labelled such that you will find the proper place for your poster.

We will provide tapes to attach your poster.

The presentation should clearly describe the aspects of the work relevant to the topics of TWEPP. Standard presentations targeted to physics or detector instrumentation conferences might need to be updated accordingly.

  • Provide a description of the work’s specifications, including the rationale behind them and the implementation challenges they pose.
  • Use quantitative statements and performance figures whenever possible. Avoid vague descriptions, such as simply stating that a parameter should be “high” or “low”.
  • Describe the work and its challenges or complexities in a way that is accessible to scientists outside your field of expertise, rather than presenting as you would at an experiment collaboration meeting.
  • Explain the significance of your work and why it merits a presentation at a scientific or technical workshop.
  • Describe the challenges or difficulties encountered during the implementation of the work and explain how they were addressed or, if unresolved, why a solution was not possible.
  • Keep the introduction focused on information directly relevant to the work described in the paper. Avoid repeating standard phrases about the LHC luminosity upgrade unless they are directly connected to your research.
