Description
The ATLAS Collaboration comprises 5900 members, from over 100 different countries across the globe. The broad spectrum of cultural, social, economic, linguistic and educational backgrounds of these individuals is not only enriching to the community, but is critical to the success of the experiment's scientific research. To support this rich diversity, ATLAS recently implemented an Equity, Diversity & Inclusion (EDI) Office. Beyond acting as contacts to the collaboration, the office pro-actively identifies opportunities and proposes initiatives to improve conditions toward creating an equitable environment that allows everyone to contribute their own individual strengths. The goals and structure of the office will be presented, along with some of the most recent regional, age and gender demographics of the collaboration.
