Description
Artistic photography is deemed to be an engaging and effective educational means for critically exploring participants’ views of phenomena. This study implements artistic photography to explore pre-service teachers’ visions and desires of the future regarding contemporary real-world problems. Teachers’ (n=61) crafted photographs of the probable/desirable futures of the problems, along with their photo descriptions and reflections, are qualitatively analysed. Findings show that teachers are mostly concerned about climate change, pollution, and the uncritical use of technology, while they commonly possess pessimistic views of the probable evolution of the problems.
